The Jablotron Nanny BM-03 baby breathing monitor gives Australian parents extra peace of mind while their baby sleeps. It is an EU-certified Class IIb medical device, and Nanny monitors are used in hospitals and homes worldwide. The non-contact sensor pad sits under the mattress and monitors breathing movements without restricting your baby.
If no breathing movement is detected for 20 seconds, or the breathing rate falls below 8 breaths per minute, the monitor gives an audible and visual alert so you can check on your baby straight away. It warns that breathing has stopped or slowed, which may occur in young infants, for example due to SIDS, suffocation or illness. It does not replace proper childcare and supervision. The unit runs a self-check each time it is switched on and is suitable for babies from 1 kg.
The moisture-resistant sensor pad sits under the mattress, while the compact control unit shows its status and has a gentle night light.
